Agricultural/Rural Projects Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. Host an Annual Farm-City Banquet in December.
  2. Assist in Soil Judging Contest by serving food at the event in October.
  3. Conduct roadside pickup along 2 miles of Highway Q and Highway S in April/May.

Community/Youth Services Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. Look to broaden our giving of funds to multi-generations and more diverseactivities.
  2. Revisit guidelines for prioritization of funds distributed.
  3. Distribute funds to appropriate recipients.
  4. Determine guidelines and award Scholarships to graduating high school seniors (four scholarships awarded each year).
  5. Determine guidelines and award the "Margaret Rathbun" Memorial Scholarship to graduating high school seniors – focus on students planning to attend Chippewa Valley Technical College (one scholarship awarded each year).
  6. Determine guidelines and identify Golden Rule Students (one high school student is nominated by the staff from each Chippewa HS and recognized monthly at a club meeting. The student chooses an organization of their choice for Kiwanis to make a donation of $25.00 in their name).

Fair Stand Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. Keep up to date on community events planned at the Fair Grounds and bring them to the attention of the Club.
  2. Plan and schedule activities at the Fair Stand during community events.
  3. Increase Kiwanis identity and presence at community events at the Fair Grounds.
  4. Maintain the Fair Stand seasonally; opening in spring, closing in fall, scheduling cleaning, painting, etc. as needed each year.
  5. Train members who volunteer to work various Fair Stand events. Identify a "Shift Captain" for each event.
  6. Create and maintain shift check lists for events.

Golden Service Award Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. Oversee the selection process of the designee of the Kiwanis "Golden Service Award" designee. Designee to be identify prior to fiscal year end, October.
  2. Work with "Golden Service Award" designee to select an organization to receive $500 donation from the club.
  3. Plan a recognition lunch for the recipient. Add recipients name to Kiwanis Club plaque.
  4. Communicate to local community the selection of the recipient.
Human/Spiritual Aims Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. To identify a community agency that can work with us to provide specific needs of a family (i.e. clothing, school supplies); Focusing on family need.
  2. Recognize a group that has provided outstanding spiritual support in the community.
  3. Participate in Salvation Army bell ringing (November/December).
  4. Recognizing families of Kiwanians’ in the event of a death or hardship by sending condolences.

Marketing Committee

Committee Goals

  1. Update Club brochures in October (or as needed)
  2. Update Social Media Sites
  3. Issue Press Releases for organized events, awards, banquets, etc.

Members Growth and Orientation Committee

Committee Purpose

Committee Goals

  1. To have a minimum of six new members for this club year and educate them.
  2. To coordinate one membership drive per year.
  3. Oversee the annual nomination process of the Kiwanis "Life Time Member" recognition. If there are nominees for the year, a recognition will be presented the last week of September:
    1. Plan a special recognition lunch for the recipient and encourage all members to bring a guest. Present recipient with an individual plaque.
    2. Communicate to local community the nomination and selection of the recipient.
